Boston Academy of Korean Traditional Arts
보스턴 한국전통에술원
The Boston Academy of Korean Traditional Arts (BAKTA) was conceived by people at the Korean Cultural Society of Boston (KCSB), who deeply respect and love music, arts, and culture. The mission of BAKTA is to revive, reshape, and renew Korean traditional music and arts through education that corresponds with various forms of modern music and artistry around the world.
Our programs provide private and group lessons (Korean traditional instruments and dance) for young and adult students (5 years of age and older), primarily on Sunday afternoon at SCBC (Somerville Community Baptist Church) located at 31 College Ave, Somerville, MA 02144. The curriculum is based on a 10-week program, consisting of nine regular classes and a performance presentation. Some special workshops and activities will be provided between semesters.
